During the holidays Ashton Ballito form 2 student Trent de Bruyn spent the last weekend (3-5 April) in Witbank for the SABAA Junior Bass fishing Nationals. Trent who was competing in his first nationals had an incredible tournament and after a very wet very tough 2 days of fishing team KZN secured a team win as Top Province, while Trent walked away with the trophy for the rookie of the year, and finished second overall in the nationals , plus he along with 3 of his team mates earned themselves a nomination for the Protea (Springbok) side competing in the International Championship against Zimbabwe and the USA later this year.
